About us

LHC Viet Nam

LHC Viet Nam was established in Ha Noi in 2014. For more than ten years, we have worked alongside government agencies, project management units, development partners and investors on the environmental and social aspects of public and private investment projects, from investment preparation, through implementation, to construction completion.

Since 2021, we have extended our work to natural capital (forests, biodiversity and water resources) and assess disaster risk, climate risk and greenhouse gas emissions for projects.

The projects we support are financed by development partners, financial institutions, the state budget and private investors, across provinces and cities throughout Viet Nam and in Laos.

For us, every project is a commitment. We look forward to working with you.

Vision · Mission · Core values

Every project is a commitment.

Vision

To be a trusted environmental, social and natural capital advisory partner to government agencies, project management units, development partners and investors in Viet Nam, earning that trust through the quality of every output, practical local knowledge and accountability throughout the project cycle.

Mission

To provide environmental, social and natural capital advisory services that stay within scope, rest on evidence and fit Vietnamese realities, helping clients prepare and implement projects responsibly towards communities, workers and the natural environment.

Three pillars

Environment

Identifying and assessing environmental, health and safety impacts, proposing mitigation measures, and independently monitoring their implementation.

People

People affected by land acquisition, loss of livelihoods and resettlement, ethnic minorities, women and vulnerable groups are consulted and fully considered in project plans.

Natural Capital

Forests, biodiversity, water resources and ecosystem services are assessed and accounted for, so that projects avoid and minimize losses and use resources sustainably. Disaster and climate risks are assessed to make works more resilient.

Quality management

Quality is a responsibility throughout, not a final inspection step

LHC manages quality assignment by assignment, based on the contract scope, applicable law, financier requirements and agreed technical criteria, so that outputs are accurate, consistent and reliable enough to support client decision-making.

Five principles

  1. Conformity with requirements

Define the scope, contract requirements, applicable law and financier requirements from the outset.

  2. Evidence-based

Data, records and survey results are traceable; completeness and consistency are checked.

  3. Right expertise, right role

Suitable experts with clear responsibilities, working within the assigned scope.

  4. Review and control

Technical review, cross-checking, and data and document control before issue.

  5. Continual improvement

Receive feedback, address non-conformities, record lessons learned.

Six-step process

  1. Requirements review, planning
  2. Mobilize and assign experts
  3. Control of data and methods
  4. Technical review, cross-check
  5. Control before release
  6. Feedback, revision, archiving
